God is in the Details

We had a guest evangelist speak at church this morning. In light of the fact that it was a very last-minute request for him to come fill the pulpit, his message could not have been more appropriate. This is yet another evidence that God moves and works and prepares every detail of our lives. He is sovereign.

Both of our pastors have been preaching the last two Sundays on the importance of the local church body and how vital it is to be members of a local church. Can you guess what our guest speaker's message was about? It was about our responsibility in the church. To my knowledge, he was not given a topic to preach on. As I said, this pulpit fill was a last-minute thing. He talked about using the spiritual gifts God has given us to do the work of the church. It meshed beautifully with the sermons we've already heard.

Why am I so amazed at the detail of God's design? He does this kind of stuff all the time.

  1. Isn't that cool? You know, my mom's blog is named "God is in the Details". We talk about this stuff all the time!

  2. Yep!! I think we're such an intellectual and pragmatic society that we often forget that God is supernaturally involved in every aspect of our lives.
