I'm thankful that I had a good day at church. I am pretty pleased with how well my Sunday school lesson went this morning, for the opportunity to spend time with friends, and even having served in the toddler room this evening with one little guy. I don't think he's ever interacted with me before, and he was pretty content to be there with me. We put puzzles together, and he read books to me. He was quite entertaining.
It was a good day!
You know, I always dread serving in the church nursery. Give me older kids any day, but the little ones...well I have had my days of little ones.
ReplyDeleteBut every time I do it, there is always one little kid, a different one every time, who ends up touching me in a special way. Whether it's because I am able to help them be happy when they are crying, or because they take the time to play with my youngest, or whatever.
I really need to learn not to dread it in the first place, and then I won't have to go through having my mind changed each month. :)
