What I Learned This Week: 3rd Edition

There are a few things I learned over the past week, so I will go with the list format today.

  • I will not lose that last 10 pounds if I continue to munch on fun-size candy bars at the office when I'm starving and if I continue to ignore my treadmill.
  • I wear the same denim skirt to church every Sunday night because it's the most comfortable.  Do you think anyone has noticed?
  • Watching "Curb Appeal" and "House Hunters" on HGTV has become a favorite pastime thanks to our new satellite.  I couldn't tell you what the draw is for me.  All I know is that I find them enjoyable.
  • After watching "House Hunters", it's now clear to me why our banks and mortgage companies have fallen on hard times, as well as homeowners.  Have you seen what kind of loans these people are approved for to buy homes?  No wonder people can't afford their mortgages. Unbelievable!
  • Victoria Stilwell's dog training techniques do not work with our dog.  Either Dixie is stupid, or we are.  {sigh}
  • I don't think Twitter is my thing.
  • Good, consistent blogging is hard.

I think that about covers it.

Visit Jo-Lynne's blog and read about other lessons learned through the week.

  1. I am sooo with you on the last 10 lbs. thing. Me eating these little "snacks" aren't helping my efforts. LOL. And yes someone is probably noticing you are wearing the same shirt every Sunday! LOL. I'm kidding, sort of!LOL. But who cares? I have favorite shirts too that I wear more than others and it's funny because I'll end up wearing them to the same place most of the time! Oh well, what do you do?
    Have a great week,
    Kim

  4. I love House Hunters too! I also love My First Home, Property Virgins, Deals on the Bus (new) and House Hunters International.

I'm not house shopping and have no plans to move again but I find these shows so interesting. I guess the ones where a house that is 1300 sq. ft. cost $800,000....just blows my mind!

    Happy Tuesday!

  5. If my tv is on (and daughter and hubby aren't controlling the remote), then it's HGTV all the way. I just can't help myself either.

  6. I also have a tough time giving up the mini candy bars--at the end of a long day, they make me so happy (but I'm not so happy when my pants don't fit.)

I resisted twitter for a long time but now I think about what to tweet.

  8. Twitter is not my thing really either, even though I like to think so.

And I get the same error in my Blogger templates as well. Ah well!

  9. HGTV - Holmes on Homes is played here at least 4 times a week. :)
