Sharing my five favorite blessings from the week...
1. God gave me direction concerning something I had been seeking His wisdom about.
2. I received hugs from nieces and nephews that I don't get to see as often as I used to.
3. I ran into Mandy of From the Trenches of Motherhood at PaperbackSwap just by coincidence. I had been browsing a member's list for a book and didn't realize until afterward that I was browsing Mandy's list. It made me giggle when I realized whose list I was looking at.
4. I finished Unlocked by Karen Kingsbury this week and loved it. It gave me a glimpse into the world of autism and what families experience when they have a child with this disorder. It was both enlightening and inspirational. (My review of the book is coming shortly.)
5. My parents took me out for lunch with my grandma the other day, AND we got to eat at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Getting to eat shrimp with garlic sauce is a terrific blessing!

I love when I get obvious direction. I know God promises wisdom whenever we ask, but sometimes I don’t see it as clearly as I’d like. Glad you got a clear message. I know two young men at my church with autism; it remains a mystery to me so I should read Unlocked. Having lunch with your parents and grandmother is such a blessing! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a WONDERFUL week. It's always nice to receive direction...and when you get to spend time with family you don't see often.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz and welcome to FFF!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love when an answer from the Lord breaks through after you've been seeking Him for it? So encouraging to hear that.
Unlocked is on my Christmas wish list. I used to work with autistic children so I'm really interested in reading it.
I love it when God gives us clear direction. Definitely something to be grateful for.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving!
Amen to #1. We've been in holding patterns at times and it is so nice to finally know which way to go.
ReplyDeleteI read most of Karen's books but hadn't decided on that one because I felt I already knew what it was about from the other series -- which I can't remember the name of. But I will probably read it after all.
Glad for dinners out, favorite Chinese food, and hugs!
Welcome to FFF!
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds interesting -- I'll have to look it up! I, too, love that clear divine direction.
Have a happy week!
Hugs, lunches (especially Chinese), books, confirmation of direction--all would make my FFF list too. You had a great week.
