Another October Baby!

I'm an auntie again! Although he was 6 days past due, Judy's grandbaby was born this morning after a very short labor. Beckett is a big boy at 8 lbs., 15 oz. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures very soon.

You believe a mind is a terrible thing to waste, and you try to exercise your brain as much as possible. You are intrigued by almost everything, and you are curious about the world around you. You want to travel to foreign lands, read lots of books, and master many subjects. You love to go on all sorts of adventures, especially the kind that don't require you to leave your room.

Hmmm... I don't think those quiz people know me exceptionally well. Yes, I certainly DO love reading and learning new things, but as for being adventurous... I really would rather do all my traveling through books and stay home. I'm such a homebody.

Happy Birthday to Me!

The calendar has once again rolled over to October 6th, and it's my birthday. Everyone has made me feel very loved.

I received lots of happy wishes from friends on Facebook. My parents sent flowers. A very special friend called. My sister spent the day with me, having lunch and painting at the pottery studio, and then to finish off the whole day, my husband treated me to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Carrabba's Italian Grill. (Oh, I do love their Caesar salad with shrimp!)

I'm stuffed, and I didn't even have dessert! I guess that's probably a good thing. I don't NEED dessert, but I don't get a special dessert every day so it's somewhat disappointing. I'll have to get dessert some other day to make up for it.

It has been a very good day...even without dessert.
